I knew Xi'an was in my neighborhood, but I'd completely ignored it until now (lol) I think it's probably the first restaurant in Tsukuba that serves knife-cut noodle ‼︎I thought I'd go here to eat knife-cut noodles, but the other day I ate them at China Daiichimen (lol) It was my first time at Xi'an, so I visited based on the menu on Tabelog, but the menu had changed quite a bit (lol) knife-cut noodle set I wanted to eat was out of stock, so I ordered the XI'AN knife-cut noodle noodles with mala noodles and a set of five Gyoza / Dumpling ‼︎ The XI'AN knife-cut noodle set allows you to choose one flavor of knife-cut noodle from mala noodles, hot and sour noodles, or Tantanmen noodles, and one side dish from Gyoza / Dumpling-fried Chinese buns, or tantan rice bowls (^ ^) By the way, they also have a beef knife-cut noodle set, but this one has an additional flavor of "soy sauce" in addition to knife-cut noodle ♪♪ Wait about 10 minutes, and it's ready!! ︎ It looks like... Tantanmen (lol) Since this is mala noodles, I wonder what Tantanmen are like? (^ ^) I took a sip of the soup... Yes, it definitely tastes like Tantanmen (lol) To be honest, the spiciness of the "spicy" was so strong that I couldn't really tell what the soup stock was, but today I ordered XI'AN knife-cut noodle, so I wonder if it was a stock made from pork or something? I don't think it was beef bone soup. If it was beef knife-cut noodle I wonder if it was beef bone stock (^ ^)? Anyway, it was a delicious Tantanmen with plenty of minced meat (lol) Oh, of course, the noodles were knife-cut noodle, so they were flat and runny (^ ^)‼ ︎ And Gyoza / Dumpling Gyoza / Dumpling were small, thin-skinned, and juicy! It was delicious, but I would have liked it if it had a little more filling. I thoroughly enjoyed knife-cut noodle from this long-established Tsukuba restaurant. Next time I'll try Tantanmen and see the difference. (lol)
