4半世紀前のことである。
当時お付き合いをしていた彼女の義姉がここで働いていた。
しかしながら、当時は一度も食べに行こうと誘われたことがなかった。
「美味しいよ。安くて本当に美味しいんだから」
そう言っておきながら、一度もである。
その数年後の冬、やっぱりと言うか別れてしまった。
しかしながら、夏になって新しい彼女が出来たのだ。
秋の終わりごろだった気がする。
「パスタの美味しいところに行きたい」
普段そんなこじゃれたところで食事をしていないので、少し悩んでしまった。
下妻の「芽キャベツ」か、つくばに「TOTOYA」があったな。
土浦方面に走っていたので「ととや」へ向かった。
昔はローマ字表記だった気がする。
14時過ぎのランチタイムギリギリに到着した。
うる覚えなのだが、パスタの真ん中に卵の黄身がのっていて、
本当に美味しかった覚えがあるが、何を食べたかは今では覚えていない。
ただただ美味かったのだ。
その時、昔お世話になったTVプロデューサーの小野さんと偶然遭遇した。
「あら○○君じゃない。素敵なお連れの方とご一緒ね」
名刺の交換をして店を後にした。
冬が駆け足で来ていると感じた。
夕焼けが綺麗なつくば路を、また走り出した。
