石岡市旧八郷地区には、おいしいそば屋さんがたくさんありますが、「手打ちそば処 中津川」は、常陸秋そばが食べられるお店と聞いて訪れました。
お店のレジの所には、やはり、「常陸秋そばが食べられるお店」のガイドブックがおいてありました。
店内は広く、奥には座敷、更に、お手洗いに向かうガラス戸を空けた奥の部屋には、宴会用か、広い座敷が更にあり、この辺の宴会場になっているようです。
そばは、やや短めの田舎そばで、歯ごたえのあるお蕎麦です。
おおもりそばには、混ぜご飯が付いていて、お昼の食事には充分の量でした。
愛想の良い、元気な女将さんの声が届く気さくなお店です。
大もりそば ６５０円
鴨汁そば ９８０円
近くには、茨城県立八郷フラワーパークがあり、今回は、その帰り道、八郷と笠間を結ぶ県道沿いにあります。
５月下旬から６月下旬はバラの見ごろです。
