「栗菓子屋」ののれんが目を引く、JR西国分寺駅ナカに催事出店していた茨城県牛久市の洋菓子店。茨城名産の和栗を使った各種スイーツを取り揃えているお店。
気になりつつも通り過ぎようとしたら、少し前を歩いていたおじさんが当店へ足を向け商品を物色し始めたのが目に入り、思わずつられて私も物色。
商品はモンブランや栗きんとんといった栗スイーツの他、イチゴなどのフルーツを使ったサンドイッチなど。せっかくなので看板商品の「笠間のモンブラン」を家族全員分購入。
帰宅後実食。
1ミリの生搾りマロンクリームが織り重なった別名「絹糸モンブラン」。見た目も美しいきめの細かいマロンクリームとあっさりとした生クリームの下にはパフとサクサクのパイ。それなりにボリュームはあるが上品な甘さなので食後のデザートとしていただいても然程しつこくない。
1つ700円は少し躊躇するお値段だが、駅ナカゆえ貯まっていたJREポイントが使えるのもいいところ。
