日立市北部、十王(じゅうおう)の海辺に佇む、白壁南欧風の小洒落た建物。
カフェDaiyaさんという、手作りケーキとカレーのお店です。
以前は、プレートランチやディナーもやっていたようですが、ここのところの世の中にあわせて、カレー、パフェやケーキなどのデザート類、それにテイクアウトに絞って営業をされています。
運営しておられるのは、女性がお二人。
入口でのアルコール消毒は当然ながら、手を差し出すと自動で噴霧される装置を導入、検温の徹底、そしてアクリルの衝立。
それに驚いたのは、マスク入れをテーブルに置いていたり、カレーのスプーンを使い捨てのものにしたりと。
小さなレストランなのに、ここまで徹底して考えておられるのですね。
今の飲食店経営者は皆本当に大変です。
大きな窓からは、海原が一望できて、実にすばらしい。
雄大な太平洋に沈む夕日を眺めながらカレーを食べて、ケーキを食べて。
素敵な休日の締め括りにはうってつけです。
国産豚ロースのとんかつをカラッと揚げた、カレーとんかつ(883円)。
これに焼き野菜を185円でトッピング。
大盛りはプラス185円で、ルーも足して貰えるというのでお願いしてみます。
合計1,253円に消費税が付きます。
普通のカレーは556円＋税。
鶏がらスープで煮込んだマイルドなカレーです。
冷蔵ケースの中から選べるケーキプレートが463円＋税。
さあとんかつと焼き野菜の大盛りカレーが出来上がりました！
大きなしめじ、カボチャ、獅子唐、さつま芋、煮卵、ざっくり切って焼いた玉ねぎ、赤と黄色のパプリカ、レンコン。
これらたっぷりの野菜たちとサクサクのトンカツに千切りキャベツ。
もう、見た目からしてボリューム満点ですね。
それに、彩りが良い。
肉、野菜がじっくり煮込まれたカレーが、とても美味しい。
ご飯もほどよく炊けていて、カレーライスとしての基本事項がきちんと押さえられているし、ボリューム的にも、大人のお腹がしっかり満たされます。
さて、デザートがまた美味しい。
ケーキは、冷蔵ケースの中から選んで。
それに季節のフルーツを盛り合わせてくれます。
パフェは美味しいアイスクリームに、生クリーム、チョコにフルーツを盛り合わせて、ポッキーが刺してあって・・
これまた楽しくて美味しいデザートですね。
フルーツはオレンジ、柿、キウイ、パイン、りんご 。
これだけの果物を鮮度良く揃えておくのも結構大変なことでしょう。
満腹満足、ご馳走様でした！
お店を出てみると、ちょうど日の沈む頃。
お店の脇の高台では、太平洋めがけて一生懸命シャッターを切る人もいました。
