We visited Jikuan, a famous soba restaurant that has been awarded Bronze and other awards. It's located in the mountains. We were planning to arrive before opening, but the roads were crowded and we arrived around 12:00. There were four groups waiting. We waited for an hour... and finally got a seat! We ordered traditional duck kenchin soba, sobagaki, and scallion tempura. And we waited for an hour... and finally the food came! We put each lump into the soup and break it up. The soba was delicious, as expected, but there was no duck in it no matter how much we ate... (The bill was later corrected) We finished it and waited for several tens of minutes... The next person's food was brought out, and the next person's food was brought out. However, our sobagaki was not served. When we asked the cashier, it seemed that they were preparing it, but unfortunately it was canceled this time. We have lined up many times, but this was the first time we had to wait so long for a restaurant with so many customers. I highly recommend this place to soba lovers who can devote a day to soba! However, I don't recommend it to people who visit famous restaurants or are just a fanatic.
