開店は11時半なのに、11時ごろからお客さんが来ちゃったので、早めに店を開けたのだとか。かなり混んだらしく、我々が暖簾をくぐった頃には、十割のみになってました。
私は「十割そば天ぷら付き」、連れは「十割そば」を注文。天ぷらは、ふきのとう、海老、さつまいも、かぼちゃ、なす、しめじの六種。連れにもサービスだとちょっと天ぷらを付けてくれました。
田舎そばです。それも十割だけに歯応え硬め。好きかどうかと聞かれたら、迷わず「大好物！」と答えたいおそば。十割が旨ければ旨いほど、ニハチも食べたかった(^^ゞ
そばつゆも濃いめでたいへんよろしい。「旨い蕎麦屋のつゆは、辛めで濃いめ」。子供の頃に親父から言われた言葉が、三つ子の魂状態になっていて、いまだに私の嗜好基準なのです。
常陸太田は、知る人ぞ知る質の良い蕎麦の産地。全国のこだわりの名店が使っている、そばのブランドである「常陸秋そば」は、ここで産まれて、ここで育ったと言っても過言ではないらしい。
近くの竜神大橋でバンジージャンプを見学した後、田舎そばが旨いと評判のこのお店に。幹線道路から少し入った集落の中にほのぼのと営業しています。
