常陸太田市街地の南側にある新しい住宅街。
佐竹南台というみたいです。
由緒正しいお殿様の名前が付いているなんて素敵ですね。
小高いところが小ぎれいに開発されていて、平屋の住宅が一軒、お蕎麦屋さんになっています。
なか美さん。
ご主人は、地域の有名なお蕎麦屋さんでお仕事をされたようですね。
ご当地にもようやく春がやってきた、ポカポカと暖かい休日のお昼ごはん。
口開けとともに、忽ちお客さんがやってきて満員御礼という感じです。
今冬、常陸太田ではけんちんそばのフェアみたいなことをやっていたのだけれど、期限が2月いっぱいだった。
それが3月でも大丈夫ですよ、と言うことなので、けんちんそばをまずは頼みます。
それからAセット、Bセットと1000円から1200円位でお願いできるので、みんなであれこれ頼んで。
けんちんそばは、ざっくり刻んだ根菜が柔らかく煮えていて説明不要の美味しさ。
ご当地の伝統食材、芋がらもちゃんと入っていました。
肝心のお蕎麦。
言うまでもなく、茨城といえば常陸秋そば。
ご当地の誇る茨城県産蕎麦のブランドです。
この蕎麦の一大基幹産地が常陸太田市とその周辺なんですね。
なか美さんでは、市内で採れた常陸秋蕎麦をきっちり使っているとのこと。
新そばの季節に来れば、香り立つ！おいしい！などと簡単に誰でも論評ができるんだろうけれど、冬を越した春ともなると、これがやっぱりふわっと甘みが際立つ。
この甘みが、ご当地の美味しい蕎麦の証明書。
揚げ物とか気の利いたサラダとかいろんなものが付いているセットは美味しいし楽しいし、家族で来るんだし、こういうお蕎麦屋さんが一番嬉しいなぁとしみじみ思いました。
