明治23年開業の金沢の老舗の料理旅館。卯辰山の中腹に位置し、2000坪の庭園と金沢市内の眺望に定評があります。
ひがし茶屋街から坂道を登ると「山乃尾」の入り口が。格式ある雰囲気です。ところが玄関に入っても誰もいません。数分待ってスタッフがやって来ました。
広間のような場所に通されます。お客さんは誰もいません。どうやら大きな団体客が別棟に来店しているみたいで、スタッフはそちらの方で手いっぱいだったのかもしれません。
それで団体とは別のこの場所に通されたのでした。ここに通されたのは私達と団体のバスガイドさん、そしてドライバーさんのみ。なので、広いスペースの静かな環境で食事出来ました。
治部煮御膳 5000円のランチコースを頂きました。
●前菜10品 赤いさかづき型の小皿に色々なおかずが入っります。金時草、菜の花、鯛の子、河豚の煮凝り、薄い豆の真丈など。豪華で写真映えします、これだけでほとんどお腹いっぱいになりました。
●治部煮 合鴨の分厚いのが3枚。加賀麸、生麩、椎茸など。かなりボリュームあります。
治部煮の語源のひとつは熱々にグツグツ、ジブジブと煮込んである様子からついたそうです。しかし出されたのはそこまで熱々という訳ではありませんでした。
●季節の炊き込みご飯
しらすご飯、梅酢 白とピンクの2色で独特の色彩。酢の酸味は飛んでいて酸っぱくない。食感はイマイチで好みではありませんでした。

サービス面で問題がありました。コートは廊下のコート掛けに自分でかけてくださいと言われ、少しくだけたサービス。トイレも男女共用など、カジュアルで高級料理旅館といえるサービスではありません。
でも情緒あふれる環境で、金沢の郷土料理を手軽に食べられるのは悪くないかと思いました。
