金沢名物には“ハントンライス”なるB級グルメがあるとの情報を得て、ならば食べようではないか！と思ったものの、いちばん有名と言われているお店は定休日だったため、こちらのお店でいただくことにしました。
名物と言われているわりに、ハントンライスを出しているお店ってそんなに多くないんですね。
ごはんはSサイズ(ごはん150g)とMサイズ(ごはん300g)があり、Sサイズにしましたが、十分満足なボリューム。タルタルソースがたっぷりかかったエビフライ×2とマグロフライが乗っているオムライスです。これがハントンライスというもの。
よく食べ慣れたケチャップライスの味がする、定番オムライスという感じでおいしかったです。上に乗っているエビフライやマグロフライはサクッとした感じではなく、どちらかというと柔らかいんですね。(お店によって違うのかもしれませんが)
食べる前からそうなんだろうなとは思っていましたが、言ってしまえば、普通にエビフライ+マグロフライ+オムライスです。でも、金沢名物の1つとして、金沢に来たなら一度は食べてみてもいいと思います！
