One day, I passed by this restaurant at lunchtime and there were a lot of cars. I thought it must be popular, and it turned out to be Kappo Miyakawa. Nonoichi has a lot of good restaurants, don't they? They have two daily lunch specials, and both look good. Looking at the menu, I saw that it was Edo-style eel from Isshiki, Aichi. I love Kanto-style eel, so I ordered it without hesitation! It was 3,630 yen. It came with liver soup, umaki, bone Senbei (rice crackers), and pickles. The umaki was very delicious! However, the eel itself was mushy. Huh? Did they fail to remove the skewer? And when I ate it, it was empty of fat. Huh? Why is the meat so thin? Apparently they fillet and grill it after you order, but it felt a little different from the Kanto-style eel that I loved after eating it so much in Shizuoka. Maybe it's because it's out of season now? (>_<) I was a bit shocked because the umaki was delicious. I should have just ordered the daily set meal. ( ノД`) Sob sob...
