北鉄バス・香林坊バス停から徒歩5分ほどの場所、せせらぎ通り沿いにあります。
カレー都市・金沢にはキャベツと銀皿が特徴的なカレーが有名ですが、実は本格的なアジア系カレーの有名なお店もいくつかあります。
有名どころですと片町の『スパイスボックス』さん、隣町・野々市の『ジョニーのビリヤニ』さんなどがあります。
こちらのお店も金沢商圏では有名なカレー屋さんです。平日の14:00過ぎに伺ったため、流石に店内はノーゲストでした。
今回はランチのデイリーセットをオーダーしました。
カレーは日替わりで3種類ほど選択肢があり、シェフおすすめの『きのこのカレー』を選びました。ナンやライスなど自由に選べます。
中辛ということでしたが、日本のカレーと比べるとスパイシーで辛く感じました。ただ、嫌な粉辛さではなく品のある辛さです。
鶏肉やしめじが具材として入っているシンプルな作りですが、飽きのこない絶妙なお味です。
キャベツのポリヤル(和え物)やタマネギのアチャール(酢の物)などでカレーでしびれた口の中をサッパリとリセットできます。地味に良い仕事をしていました。
そして、何よりナンが大きい！幼稚園児の枕ぐらいの大きさがあります。食べ応え◎です。
食事中にシェフたちがジーッと観察してくるあたりも可愛いです。やはり自分の料理の出来が気になるのでしょうか？
少し変化球気味の香林坊ランチにオススメです。
