金沢駅東口を出て、そのまま高架沿いに大阪方面に進みます。途中の道を左手に折れて、ちょっとした飲み屋エリアがあり、その中の一軒の居酒屋が、ここ「いたちゃん。」です。入り口で階上のお店の女性スタッフがたむろしており、何かと思いましたが、思い切って中に入ると靴を脱いで上がる方式のお店でした。堀りコタツ式のカウンターに陣取り、まずは能登半島の焼酎「ちょんがりぶし」をいただきます。それに刺身盛り＠1000円もオーダー。刺身盛りは、分厚いブリ系と白身系とサーモン系が盛られてきました。金沢に来て、これで1000円かとおもうと、どう評価してよいのかわかりません。悪くないのですが、期待値を超えることはなかったようにも思います。
で、店内の短冊で見たこともないメニューを発見！「かかし」ですって？で、キャッチコピーが輪島のソウルフードですって！？
B級ご当地グルメ好きのオヤジがオーダーしないわけがありません。出てきたものは、一般語で言うと串カツです。形状が案山子に見えないこともないです。つまり、頭に見立てた「うずらの卵」、両手を広げた格好に見立てて横にして刺した「赤ウインナー」、胴体に見立てた「フランクフルト」が串にささって揚げられてでてきたということです。
こいつで「ちょんがりぶし」を呑むといっぱしの能登輪島人になったような気がします…(笑)
