Today I stayed in Morioka, which is close to my work location tomorrow. I decided to only walk to a few other places, including the famous Tohoku restaurant ``Bairen'' that I had been interested in for some time. I went to NANBU CRAFT Sakurayama store for the first time, but it was closed so I gave up. Next, I went to Sakura Brewery Morioka near here, but they quickly left. Finally, I visited my favorite, ``Saien Microbrewery with Kitchen''. [Overview] Many craft beer brewers produce ale (top fermentation), but there are few serious brewers who produce lager (bottom fermentation). Personally, I think that ale is a blue ocean strategy when compared seriously with lagers from major sake brewing companies. (In recent years, a lot of major companies have entered the ale business...) And there are others like Mr. Baren here, ``Oirase Beer'' in Aomori that I went to recently, and ``EBINA BEER'' in my hometown of Kanagawa Prefecture. Although they are a minority of brewers who mainly produce lager and have individuality, I think they are wonderful breweries that will still be around 10 years from now because they have a good balance between individuality, taste, and price. Next time, I think I'll go to "Beer Base Bearn Morioka Ekimae" in front of the station.
