盛岡夜の１軒目のお店は「浜味屋」で美味しいおつまみと日本酒をわりと堪能したため、ほどほどに酔っぱらっているものの、次のお店として「いわし」に行くことになりました。
人気店ですので、ほぼ諦めかけていたのですが試しに電話で予約してみたら21時であれば入れるとのこと。遅い時間の訪問でお店には申し訳ないのですが、遅めの時間帯であったからこそ予約が取れたのでラッキーでした。
古民家風の店内のテーブル席に案内いただきました。案の定、店内はお客さんで満員で、カウンター席には常連客と思われる酔客がワイワイと楽しそうに飲んでいらっしゃいました。
私も日本酒をたらふく飲んでしまったのでほどほどに酔っぱらっていたのですが、こちらのお店でも日本酒を注文（何を飲んだのか忘れました）。おつまみでいろいろと頼みましたが、「えぞ鹿の柔らか煮」と「甘海老唐揚げ」が特に美味しく、おつまみとして最高でした。
やはり閉店間際とあって、お客さんが一組、二組と帰っていく様子をみて、まだまだ楽しみたかったのですが我々も帰ることにしました。
次回盛岡訪問の際には、１軒目のお店で美味しいおつまみとお酒をじっくり楽しむのも良いかな、と想像しつつお店を後にしました。ごちそうさまでした。
