宮沢賢治記念館そばにある「山猫軒」さん。教会風の建物が目印です。
店名は童話「注文の多い料理店」にちなんでいます。
このお店では、花巻の郷土料理の手作りすいとんや白金豚の角煮・カツカレー、特製鹿肉チャーシュー入りそば、冷麺など岩手産の食材を使った料理が愉しめます。
デザート系も充実しています。
今日は「でくのぼう」（餅）と「すヰとん」をいただきました。
「でくのぼう」は、みご（稲穂の芯）を交差して餅を好みの大きさに切り、あずきやごまをつけたり、なますと一緒に食べます。
店内でついたやわらかい餅を切る面白さがあり、いろいろな味を愉しめます。
「すヰとん」は地元では「ひっつみ」とも呼ばれ、宮沢賢治が「まるで雲を食べているようだ」と表現したことがあります。
しめじやねぎ、筍が入った出汁は風味があり、素朴な味わいが懐かしさを感じる一品でした。
宮沢賢治の世界観を感じることを目的に訪問されるのも良いかもしれません。
