夕方、所長が一番遅れてお泊り忘年会の宿にやってきました。事務方『いわい焼きを買って来てくれたってー』さっそく和室３部屋のうち宴会部屋にしてある、真ん中の部屋に10人が集いました。同じデザインの箱２箱には、何も区別をする印が無い感じでしたが、バターの箱と栗の箱があったようです。バターの方がすぐ売り切れるので、早目に買って来たと所長は言ってました。ランチとソフトを食べたばかりだったので、とても１個丸々食べられる自信が無く、隣に座っていた同僚とバター１個を半分にちぎっていただきました。珍しく食の細い同僚が、栗を丸々１個食べている姿を見て、本当に別腹があることに驚きました。トロトロのツヤツヤな餡よりも、大判焼きの皮がしょっぱいように感じたのですが、真実は小豆餡の中にバターが仕込まれていたそうです。ちぎった指は脂っぽくなったのですが、甘辛が非常にメリハリがきいていて、初めて食べるお味、美味しかったです。残念なことに、食欲盛り盛りの同僚らに食べられてしまい、栗を食べることは出来ませんでした(涙)。
