この日は以前の職場で一緒に働いていた先輩とドライブ。途中、先輩の体調が急に悪くなり、急遽「気仙沼プラザホテル」に宿泊。翌日なんとか体調が回復したため「K-port」で休憩し、昼食はこちらのお店に伺いました。
こちらはJR大船渡線BRT大船渡駅から徒歩5分ほど国道45号線沿いにあるカレー屋さんで、近くのJR大船渡線BRT盛駅近くにある本店はこの地で30年近く営業されている老舗でこちらのお店の「あわびカレー」や「かきカレー」はレトルトカレーにもなっている人気のお店です。
当日は近くで何かのイベントが行われているらしく凄い混みようで席が空くまで15分ほど待ちましたが、店員さんに聞くと普段はあまりそういうことはなく、昼時のピークタイムを外せばスムーズに案内できるとのことでした。
なんとか入店すると白を基調とした小洒落た店内は、案の定女性比率がかなり高くおじさん2人はかなり浮いておりますが、気にせずメニューを確認。レトルトカレーになっている「あわびカレー」や「かきカレー」はありませんでしたが、美味しそうなカレーやオムライスが並びます。
メニューの多さに目移りしてしまい、かなり迷いましたが、周囲を見渡すと「ビーフカレー」を注文している方が多いようでしたので、今回は「ビーフカレー」を注文することにしました。しばらくして提供された「ビーフカレー」は牛肉と野菜の旨味が凝縮されたルーに具は牛肉のみ。ごはんは硬めでカレーとの相性抜群の炊き具合で子供でも美味しいと思えるような欧風カレーです。
総合的に量は少なめでしたが、美味しく頂くことができましたし、この辺りではかなり頑張っているお店のようでしたのでまた近くに来た際は再訪したいと思います。
