PR for restaurants |
Founded in 1969, this restaurant serves udon and Okonomiyaki.
Torizaka Udon is an old-style Japanese-style restaurant located along National Route 11. Inherited from the previous generation, this dish is packed with ingredients and packed with nutrition, and is |
This is my first visit in about a year and eight months. Torisaka Udon is on the left side of the road when you go from Marugame to Kannonji on Route 11 and go under the Takamatsu Expressway. You can easily find it because there is a large, eye-catching signboard with "Okonomiyaki and Set Meals" and "Torsaka Udon Okonomiyaki" written on a yellow background. Today, I arrived at 10:50, about 20 minutes past the opening time of 10:30. The last time I came, the store opened at 11:00, but it opened about 30 minutes earlier. Before entering the store, I bowed to "Shoichii Inari Daimyojin" on the Route 11 side of the premises and entered the store!! As the signboard states, Torisaka Udon also serves "Okonomiyaki". So, if you go to the right side of the store, you will find the udon corner, and if you go to the left side, you will find Okonomiyaki corner. Last time I came, there was a signboard in front of the entrance with the contents of the "Today's Daily Special" menu, but this time there was none. Anyway, both corners are wide and deep, and you can relax in a calm atmosphere. I sat down at my favorite seat, looked at the menu, and decided to have the same daily lunch as last time, "Kake Udon Set Meal". The main dish today is "stewed Hamburg". This is not a self-service restaurant, but a full-service regular restaurant that brings the food to your seat. Soon, the daily lunch "Kake Udon Set Meal" was brought to me, and it comes with five dishes: "Kake Udon", "stewed Hamburg, fried egg", "hijiki", "white rice", and "takuan". Looking at the "Kake Udon", the noodles are slightly thin, and the soup stock is a beautiful light color. Anyway, steam is rising, and you can see that it is piping hot. When I took my first bite of the noodles, they had just the right amount of firmness and chewiness, and there was plenty of firmness and chewiness left until I finished eating. When I took a sip of the soup stock, it was as flavorful and light as it looked, and in my personal opinion, it tasted like "kelp"? It feels like the flavor of the ingredients is coming through. This soup stock goes perfectly with the chewy noodles. The "stewed Hamburg" has a nice hand-kneaded feel and is topped with demi-glace sauce. It was a little cold, but it was still delicious. The minced meat was also quite good, and it went well with the "white rice" and "udon" (^o^)/!! The "white rice" was shiny and went well with the side dishes of "stewed Hamburg + fried egg" and "hijiki". Personally, I think it would have been better if there was a little more "rice". As for the "coffee and tea" after the meal, it was a self-brewing style, and last time I had "hot coffee", but this time I passed. The coffee was not instant, but the kind that is roasted by grinding the beans with a machine like those found in Convenience stores. Also, the "oden" that was there last time was gone. It's a bit disappointing. This time's daily lunch "Kake Udon Set Meal" was delicious and a good deal (although it has increased by 150 yen compared to last time...). Also, the customer service from the staff was good, so I would like to come again. If I have the opportunity, I would like to have "Okonomiyaki" instead of "Udon" next time.
