重要文化財に触れるカフェ
正直、この偕行社という存在を知りませんでした。
何となく聞いた事はあるけど、学生時代にも、この偕行社というものについて、改まって授業を受けた記憶はありませんでした。
詳細を知らず、たまたま善通寺市へ仕事仲間と行き、思いのほか、時間が出来た為、どこかでお茶をしようとなりました。
私は県外出身者ですが、同行していた香川県出身者3人も、この存在を知らなかった様子。（世代のものでしょうか？）
まず、この辺りかと、車を走らせていると、突然目の前に、陸上自衛隊の自動車訓練所が‼︎
以前、鳥取県の米子市で、真夜中に一般道路を走行する戦車に出会った事があります。
まず、戦車が一般の道路を走る事に驚き、以外とスピードが出る事、並走した際の、そのひとたまりもない大きさに、ドキドキが止まりませんでした。
その時程ではありませんが、何だかいきなりの光景で、かなりビビリました。
善通寺市にある、陸上自衛隊駐屯地の横、善通寺市役所の敷地内に、このカフェはあります。
重要文化財「旧善通寺偕行社」に隣接するカフェです。
時代の重みを感じさせる風景と、当時の空気をそのまましまい込んでいるような、そんな品の良さを感じました。
メニューを眺めて、「善通寺陸軍バーガー」なるものを発見。
これは雰囲気がいいと思い、注文しました。
レトロ感を味わいたく、飲み物はバナナジュースにしました。
他のメンバーは、本日のケーキメニューの中から「いちごクリームモンブラン」と「チョコレートのベイクドチーズ」を注文。
コーヒー・紅茶は見た目は普通でしたが、ケーキ類は綺麗な盛り付けでした。
バナナジュースは、シンプルで、レトロな柄のグラスに注がれたものでした。
味は、家で作れるバナナジュースのソレでしたが、ここはやはり雰囲気です。
「善通寺陸軍バーガー」は、手焼きのような香ばしさのある、パリッとしたバンズでした。
肉汁がジュワ〜っと、全体的に滲み出るパテで、挟まれた野菜やピクルスが、とてもいいアクセント。
横に添えられたピクルスとジャガイモも、ハンバーガー自体の味を邪魔しません。
席から眺める、芝生と旧偕行社の建物は、古き良き時代を充分に味わえるものでした。
今回は冬だったので、枯れ木に茶色い芝生でしたが、これでも眺め甲斐のあるものです。
時間が来てしまい、隣接する旧偕行社の建物の中を、見学する事が出来ませんでした。
こんな歴史もあったのだと、更に戦争を知らない世代のお嬢に、教えてあげようと思いました。
その唸り声をあげる、お腹の虫にも教えてあげるのだと。
あとから聞けば、善通寺市の中では有名なカフェらしく、ランチ時などのメニューは、日替わりランチ・パスタランチ・カレーランチなどがあり、朝は、焼きたて夢ドーナツモーニングなどもあるそうです。
明治36年（1903年）5月10日に、第十一師団の将校達によって竣工。
昭和天皇が、皇太子時代に宿泊した事もあり、戦後はアメリカ軍が進駐。
昭和20年（1945年）には、米兵・豪州兵の社交場となる。
平成もあと2年程で新しい更なる時代を迎えようとします。
平成・昭和・大正・明治。
其々の時代の悪しき所、良き所を、こういう形で残して欲しいと感じた、重要文化財のカフェでした。

I saw the review on MyRevi and I remembered (*ﾟ▽ﾟ*) that I've been there~☆ Kaikosha (Zentsuji), an important cultural property, is a very important building with a weighty history as a social gathering place◎ This time, I went beyond just having tea and only had a little bit(⃔ ꒪꒳꒪̟ )⃕↝ It was a cold season, so I couldn't see the green grass outside, but the atmosphere was open and had a sense of freedom~☆ On a clear, spring day instead of a brown landscape, you can see a very beautiful garden(*´д｀*) I'm familiar with red wine (I think) and the pizza is cold, but it has the temperament of a cultural property that has lasted until the Reiwa era◎ I saw somewhere that it was established in 1922, so that must have been about 101 years ago now. This kind of history and buildings that have been passed down through the ages and are still here today should not be lost(* ˘ ˘) Thank you for the meal
