金比羅奥の院参拝後の糖分補給でパフェをいただいたのんべえの次なる目標は、参道の居酒屋で昼飲みです。
パフェをいただいたカフェを出て狙っている居酒屋に向かいます。奥の院への道のりで心が折れそうになった時にささやいていた「おやひなビール」のフレーズを開放する時が来ました。
ところが、食いしん坊の胃袋に元気がありません。昼食前に入店したカフェから昼食会場までの距離は短いため、パフェが想定以上に満腹感に貢献しています。
開店直後の入店を諦めて金比羅周辺を散策して胃がこなれるのを待ちましたが、早く飲みたいのんべえの血がうずきます。
そうなるともう止まりません。「おや」「ひな」の両方食べ比べから、どちらか選択に目標を変更してお店に突入しました。
着席して第一声は「とりあえず生」は当たり前として、噛みしめて旨味を楽しむ「おや」か、身が引き締まった「おや」に比べて量が多くて柔らかい歯応えの「ひな」か、メニュー表を前に腕組みして長考した結果、導き出した答えは「若鶏」（979円）です。
「若鶏」の焼き上がりまで20分を要するとの説明に、完成までのつなぎとしてスピード部門から「枝豆」（341円）を注文しました。
参拝で噴出した汗の水分補強の「生中」（605円）は瞬殺の勢いで胃袋に流し込まれます。
つまみを務める万能選手の「枝豆」は、少し固めで風味の強いタイプで、瞬殺の「生中」の補佐役としてよい仕事をしてくれています。
やっと「若鶏」が運ばれてきました。「生中」もおかわりして万全の体制で骨付き鶏に向き合います。
柔らかい肉質を感じながらビールを流し込む至福の時を過ごして完食したところで満腹となり、帰りの電車の時間に合わせて撤退です。
「親鶏」に未練たらたらですが、のんきなのんべえは「それは再訪の機会を得た」と解釈して納得しました。
有名店ほどの辛さはありませんが、お店ごとで異なる味付けを楽しめるので、「さぬきうどん」とともに骨付き鶏文化が根付いているのはありがたいです。
