私は15年前に食べたとき「万人」側だったので、その後食べてませんでした。
お店はいつも繁盛していますがネガティブな感想をきくことの多い珍しいお店です。
やはり、何事も、万人の顔色うかがうよりも尖った方が強いのだと感心します。
あれから15年、改めてチャレンジしてみるとまた少し違う印象に。
鹿児島で主流の、塩味の強いトンコツですが、スープを飲み干す前提で食べなければ(塩分)、このコクの強さはアリです。
食べ終わって暫く放置すると表面が冷めて脂の膜が冷めたホットミルクのように張ってきます。
15年前に私が苦手と感じたのは、この酸化した油のような鼻に抜ける香りでした。この点は15年経っても印象変わらず。
ふにゃふにゃに感じた麺については、
ごんぶと讃岐うどん好きだった当時から比べ、福岡ふにゃふにゃうどんの美味さを理解できるようになった今となっては、悪くないな！と。
このラーメンに合ってる気がします。
たっぷりキャベツと、スープの味、ふにゃ麺に、チャーシュー。
いわゆる「ラーメンかくあるべき」という姿勢で臨まなければバランス良いと感じます。
ただ、酸化油のような香りだけは、やはり苦手でした。
前回と違い、次は15年も待たずに、年内にもう一度来てしまう予感がします。
