天文館では老舗中の老舗。
創業何年だかはっきりは知りませんが、
その老舗の歴史と現代（いま）を
うまく調和したバーって感じです。
歴史は、お店の雰囲気に
よく醸し出されているかもしれません。
バーテンダーの後ろには溢れんばかりのボトルと、
懐古的なインテリアに、よく判りませんが、
古き良きバーの薫りが感じられます。
しかし、それは時代遅れのクラシカルな店として
存在している訳ではなく、
「全国バーテンダー技能競技」に於いても、
優秀な成績を修める人材を育てるなど、
その歴史に甘えることなき姿勢は、
今なお多くのお客で賑わっている証だと思えます。
観光客が一人で来ても
十分くつろげる雰囲気がありますし、
カクテルの名前も知らなくて全然大丈夫です。
気楽にふらっと立ち寄れる雰囲気がありながら、
バーの品格はしっかり維持しているバーは、
鹿児島にはここしか無いかもしれませんね。
