2013年の夏、九州の食べ歩きをしていた時に夜の鹿児島に立ち寄りました。
お店は天文館にあるのですが、この街は沖縄を除けば首都から一番遠いところにある大きな街。それもあってか、凄く個性的な店が沢山あって、そしてどことなく異国情緒みたいなものもあって・・・素敵な街でした。
そんな中、どちらで鹿児島の味を堪能しようかと歩いていて、こちらのお店に伺いました。
その時に頂いたこちらの鶏刺しの濃厚なコクある美味は、一年たった今でも舌が覚えていてこれに勝るものに未だ出会えていません。その濃厚な鶏刺しを薩摩焼酎で流し込む・・・・もう贅沢の極みでした。
そしてもう一点。勘場蒲鉾のさつま揚げ。地元の方だと馴染みなのかもしれませんが、旅で来た者からすると甘みのあるとっても美味しいものでした。次の日に勘場蒲鉾さんのお店に立ち寄って、土産と進物で沢山買いこむこととなりました。
