The first day of our trip to Kagoshima. After a half-day of sightseeing at Sengan-en, we went here for dinner. There was a course with all-you-can-drink, but we decided to go for the a la carte option and booked a table. Our seat was a sunken kotatsu in a private room. We found an all-you-can-drink option on the menu (2,000 yen with one glass of Super Dry, 2,500 yen with all-you-can-drink draft beer), so we ordered that instead. The three of us started off with a toast of beer. The dishes we had were as follows: ・ Prosciutto Caesar Salad 850 yen It was a pretty substantial salad. ・Grilled Edamame 580 yen This was also quite a portion. It was charcoal-grilled, so it was fluffy and delicious. ・Charbroiled Satsuma Jidori Chicken 980 yen It had a strong sweet and spicy flavor, and went well with alcohol. ・Baumkatsu 2,200 yen I was curious about it, so I ordered it. It seems to take about 30 minutes from the time of ordering. The millefeuille cutlet is made into a baumk shape. The batter was thick, but the millefeuille cutlet inside was juicy and delicious. ・Moromiso cucumber A good palate cleanser ・Kanba's satsumaage 800 yen Kanba seems to be the name of the restaurant. The chewy tempura is delicious. ・Miso-boiled pork cartilage 800 yen Although it is pork cartilage, there is a lot of meat and it is soft, and the sweet and spicy miso flavor is soaked in and it was delicious. ・Assorted pickles I preferred the pickled cucumbers instead of the pickled cucumbers or kimchi ( ̄▽ ̄;) After the beer, it was almost time for shochu. There were over 40 types of shochu that were all-you-can-drink (only shochu for 300 yen and 500 yen by the glass). Since everyone in my family prefers rocks, we took care of it by drinking chasers. We may have drunk 4 or 5 glasses each! ? I liked the brown sugar shochu called "Hanatori" made on Okinoerabu Island. The owner and the staff were very cheerful and welcoming. Thank you for the meal.
