仕事も終わって遅めのランチ。新幹線で帰るだけなので周辺を散策しながら食事を。カンパチなどで有名な店がやっていない。すぐ近くにカレーショップを発見しメニューを見ると手頃なので入ってみた。メニューもシンプルでいい。注文は、ビール小瓶とチキンカツカレーで。
小瓶を飲みつつ、運ばれるハンバーグカレーが旨そうだななんて思いながら待っていると、奥からカツを切る音が聞こえてくる。そうして小生にも着皿。美しい見た目。福神漬けはいらないのだ。肉厚カツをつまみに一気にビールを流し込む至福。そのあとは、キャベツ・カレー・カレー・水・カレー・キャベツのリズムで。ルーを少し追加してくれるのもうれしい。ルーは鶏ガラベースらしいが、複雑な味わいで余韻がスパイシー。食べ終わるころ20番ディッシャーぐらいのアイスもうれしい。
なんともいい店を見つけた。
