I called two days in advance and was able to make a reservation and visited at 5pm. There were no other customers at that time, so I had a great time talking to the two women working at the store. I ordered the local selection set for 5,100 yen. It's a course where you can enjoy Satsuma specialties such as crunchy chicken sashimi and springy flying fish tsukiage, and even one person can enjoy Kurobuta shabu shabu with a wonderful soup stock. The tonkotsu, which has crumbly meat just like the store's famous kakuni, comes with 2 go of black Isa nishiki, making it a satisfying dish. In addition, we were provided with additional snacks such as local pickled radish, pickled dried daikon radish, and the recommended Satsuma shochu, and we were also given takikomi rice to take home. The hostess said it was just home-cooked food, but it was a wonderful restaurant where you could feel the heart of Kagoshima.
