At the request of a friend who is likely to leave Kagoshima in April, I went to Il Cipresso to eat the roasted guinea fowl course. First, let's toast with Italian beer. Around the second appetizer, we had white wine, and after that we had a classic but high-quality lasagna. Halfway through the lasagna, I switched to red wine and moved on to the main course, the roasted guinea fowl. As you can see in the photo, there is quite a lot of volume, so this course is usually for 4 or more people. The great thing about this guinea fowl is that even the breast meat is moist and juicy without being dry. It is different from chicken or turkey. Pair it with grilled vegetables and a glass of red wine and it's a winner. While enjoying dessert and coffee after the meal, we heard from the wife in charge of the hall about the origins of how guinea fowl came to be raised on Yoron Island, and the meeting ended with the usual sense of satisfaction.
