天ぷら屋さんで軽く飲んだ後、とりあえずホテルの方へ戻ります。
でも当然まだ飲み足りないので、偶然見つけた「居酒場五十一」さんにお邪魔しました。場所は、JR鹿児島中央駅の南側、一番街商店街の中にあります。
お店は奥に長い造りで、壁のバックバーにはお酒のボトルがずらりと並んでいます。鹿児島ですから芋焼酎はもちろんのこと、ジャパニーズ・ウイスキーやバーボン、シングルモルトもあり、この手の居酒屋さんとしてはかなり充実した品揃えです。
店内は８割ぐらいの入りで、私達は入口すぐのカウンターに座りました。
先程のお店で生ビールとハイボールを飲んで来たので、こちらは白のグラスワインから始めます。それに合わせて、以下をお願いしました。
♦︎鶏の唐揚げタルタル
♦︎メンチカツとカマンベールチーズ
♦︎揚げ出し豆腐
この三品に限って言えば、普通の居酒屋の料理よりも少し凝った感じのビジュアルで、このお店のコンセプトが出ているのだと思います。ただ、素材や味に関してはそこまでの驚きや魅力は少なく、少しイメージ先行の印象がありました。
一方、周りのテーブルでは女子会で盛り上がっているグループが居て、れんげに載せた一口寿司を楽しんでおられたので、もしかしたらコースでお願いするのが正解なのかもしれませんね。
店長さんをはじめ、接客は丁寧且つ正確で、好感が持てました。少しお話したところ、21時以降はバーとして営業されているらしく、それならばお酒の品揃えも納得がいきます。次回はその時間にお邪魔してみようかなと考えながら、お店を後にしました。
お勘定は２人で7,000円程度です。
