I went there with a friend when I was on a trip to Amami Oshima. It was a long holiday, but perhaps because of the coronavirus pandemic, I contacted them on the day and was able to enter the store. The store's appearance and interior have the atmosphere of a mass-market store. Most of the seats were in tatami rooms, and the only other customers were a group of medical students who appeared to be from the Kanto area. I was surprised to find that shochu on the rocks costs 350-400 yen per glass. Choosing a brand that is easy to drink can be dangerous. Island fish sashimi is cheap and delicious. It's written on the blackboard, but I don't know what kind of fish it is, so I'll ask the staff at the store. Grilled Oyster look impressive and are good, but the taste is not that great. I think you'll be more satisfied if you prioritize other dishes. There are many Amami Oshima specialties, so if you don't care too much about the atmosphere of the restaurant, I think tourists who like alcohol can go there on the first night and be satisfied at a reasonable price.
