繁華街の入り口の方にあり、奄美大島のクラフトビールのポスターが貼ってあったので、友人と今回の滞在中のどこかのタイミングで行こうと話しておりました。
『島の居酒屋 むちゃかな』、『一村』と梯子し、奄美大島初日の〆のお店。
20時半ごろの入店でしたが、先客は２組ほどですぐに入れました。
まず最初に頼んだのはお目当ての奄美ビールの島ばななヴァイツェン。
こちらは、奄美産の島ばななを使用した島ばななヴァイツェンです。
ヴァイツェン自体バナナを感じるものが多いけど副原料で島バナナ使用されているからかバナナの感じはより一層直接的に感じる。またモルトがしっかり感じるので変にバナナ感が強調されず綺麗に馴染んでいる。
ちなみに現在奄美ビールでは
・奄美産の長命草（万咲）を使用した「長命草ペールエール」
・徳之島産の純黒糖と生姜を使用した闘牛ブラウンエール
の計三種類あるそう。
なかなかのお酒は今日は飲んでいるのでこの辺からどの泡盛を頼んだか記憶にないが
食べ物は「厚揚げの甘辛煮」、「ゴーヤチャンプルー」、「山羊汁」を頼んだ。
厚揚げの甘辛煮はお酒を飲むのが前提の濃い味付け
ゴーヤチャンプルーは卵、鰹節の量が多いため、ゴーヤの苦みはそこまで感じない為、ゴーヤが苦手な方でも食べられる味のバランス。一方ゴーヤの苦みが好きな人には物足りなさを感じるかも。
山羊汁に関しては味噌がしっかり効いていて山羊の感じは非常に弱め。那覇の方は塩系の味付けが多く山羊が濃かったので奄美大島の山羊汁はまた違うのかな？お肉や内臓類もほとんど入っていなかったのでそもそも使用している山羊の量が全く違うのかも。
ただネットで調べてみると、塩系のお店も多いよう。更に奄美の山羊は薬草を食べているようで癖がそもそも少ないようだ。
今回の旅行で山羊に関しては全く考えてなかったので、次回の奄美は山羊も視野に入れて食べ歩かないと！
ちなみに奄美ビールを中心とする奄美のものは『１２３マート』というコンビニでも販売されていました。
