NeWOMAN横浜の9階にある蕎麦屋さんのカウンターに座る。
こじゃれた雰囲気の中にも、目の前の厨房で料理が作られていくのを見るのは楽しい。
店員さんの応対は礼儀正しく、元気がよく、はきはきしていて、好ましい。
飲み物は日本酒の「不動 純米吟醸おりがらみ(無濾過生原酒)」のグラスとレモンスカッシュで爽やかに。
店員さんのお勧めで、鰹のたたきを、まずはいただく。
分厚い切り身をほおばると、タイトルの一句が思い浮かんだ。
日中、ほととぎすではなかったが、きれいな鳥の鳴き声を新緑の中で耳にした。
鰹を食したことで、この句のすべてを体験できた、5月の良き日。
家人のリクエストでだし巻き卵を注文。
甘い系のだし巻き卵が好きな私的にはうーんだが、むしろこの後食べる蕎麦のことを考えるとこれでいいのかもしれない。
締めのせいろ蕎麦は、胡桃と海苔かけで。
蕎麦の風味が口に広がり、大変旨かった。
それにしても、蕎麦屋ってどうして蕎麦湯を飲むとき、どうして専用のお猪口を出してくれないのだろうか。
そばつゆが入っている器にちょっとばかりの蕎麦湯を入れても、つゆの味ばかりして後味が悪いのだが。
