2 minutes from Sakuragicho Station. Breeze Bay Hotel 14th floor. Lunch buffet with a different theme every month♪
A 2-minute walk from Yokohama Minato Mirai Sakuragicho Station. A French cuisine Restaurants on the 14th floor of Breeze Bay Hotel, "Arpege". The lunch buffet on the top floor with a great view offers |
I visited on a weekday morning. The location is the main dining room on the top floor of Breeze Bay Hotel RESORT & SPA, a city hotel closest to Sakuragicho Station. This is the flagship store of the BBH Hotel Group, which uses a popular actor and his son in its commercials. Since I had been staying there since yesterday, I decided to eat here. Breeze Bay Hotel opened in 1990, so it can be said that it was planned at the height of the bubble economy. I have stayed here several times as a city hotel with an impressive exterior. However, I have never used Restaurants or banquet here, so I was looking forward to visiting as it is Restaurants on the top floor. The restaurant opens at 7:00. When I got off the elevator five minutes before, there was one customer waiting, and three people ended up entering by the time the restaurant opened. There were a few more customers after that, so I guess that's how it is. The door opened at exactly 7:00, and the staff greeted me. There was no special guidance, so it seemed like I could enter freely. When I entered, there was a basket for breakfast tickets, and I put the tickets in. There was no sign of proper management. We were not even shown to a seat, but rather told to just go wherever we wanted. I was disappointed because it was a city hotel. Indeed, the breakfast All-you-can-eat buffet was 1,000 yen, which is comparable to the price of a business hotel. There was no intention to have staff on hand to serve us. There didn't seem to be any need to take a seat first, so I immediately took my tray and plate and went around the All-you-can-eat buffet table. There weren't many items, but there was a decent selection of raw vegetables, yogurt, and drinks. On the other hand, I didn't get the impression that there were that many main dishes. I took Chikuzenni, grilled mackerel, shumai, sausage, and scrambled eggs on my main plate. I was happy that all of the dishes were already warm. This shows the thoughtfulness of the staff. For the raw vegetables, I took lettuce, broccoli, cherry tomatoes, and corn, and added Japanese dressing. I also had natto, raw eggs, rice, and miso soup. I sat at a table for four overlooking the MM district. This is probably what the view was like when the hotel first opened. It's hard to get a good view from the 14th floor. The rice is labeled as domestically produced. This rice was delicious, including how well it was cooked. The miso soup had wakame seaweed, fried tofu, and swirled gluten. This was also delicious. Other than that, there wasn't much that was memorable. It was a standard business hotel breakfast. I had coffee at the end, but it was prepared in the server, so the aroma was lost. The only thing that was a bit of a problem was the clearing of the dishes. Looking around, I saw some customers taking the dishes to the back room. In business hotels, there are often corners for clearing dishes, but this one wasn't within sight. There was no staff there, so I took the dishes to the back room. There was only one hall staff. Thank you for your hard work.
