関内二郎臨休の代替プランとして、「長八」を約７年振り、長者町９丁目に移転後、初めて行きました。ＮＨＫ「ドキュメント72時間」（岡村隆史が印象に残る回でセレクト）が撮影された当時の店とは、見違えるほど照明が明るく、ゆったりしたスペースのきれいな店内で別店のようでした。ヒレかつは、以前の味わいと同様、美味しかったですし、みそ汁も具沢山で良かったです。
