平日の夜に伺いました。場所は、JR桜木町駅新南口から大岡川に架かる住吉橋(人道橋)を渡ります。そのまま住吉町通り(入船通り)を進んだ右手、横浜福島ビル(飲食店ビル)の1階。ビルの正面を左手から回り込んだところにお店はあります。
ドイツ料理のDammが閉店した次のお店です。またこちらは、以前は本町通りと南仲通りの間にお店がありましたので、関内地区の中での移転開店です。
お店を覗くと店内は満席のようですが、敷地内に張り出して作られた完全防備のテラス席が空いています。店内のスタッフに、テラス席を指してこちらで良いかと聞きます。OKとのことで4人掛けテーブル席に着きます。
ホールスタッフは、失礼ながらお店の雰囲気とは合わない感じの方(もしかしたら店主？)。不足はないのですが、ちょっと違う。まあ、それは措いて飲み物を注文しましょう。白ワイン(シャルドネ)グラス500円。料理は、野菜のトマト煮込みラタトゥイユ600円。ラタトゥイユはトイレに離席中にテーブルに置かれていました。これは減点ですね。いただくと、程よく温められていて、たいへん美味しい。残念なのは、野菜の色がまったく分かりません。テラス席のライティングの影響ですが、もう少し何とかならないのか。こんなに素晴らしい料理、惜しいですよ。
〆をいただきましょう。こちらは横浜ベジナポが名物なんですが、スタッフにラタトゥイユベース？と聞くと、基本的にそうだと。では同じになりますね。と言うことで、牛ホホ肉の赤ワイン煮込み1,580円を注文です。
出てきたものは、オニオンリングとサラダは何となく分かるが、塊肉の全容がやはり分かりにくい。もう少し明るくしてほしいです。真ん中から切り分けるとホロホロと。美味しいです。
店内は満席満員です。キッチンではスタッフ(こちらが店主？)が一心不乱に料理に取り掛かっています。サイトを見てみると、飲み放題のコース料理がありすべて4千円以内。この料理の質でこの値段は人気が出るはずです。確かに、場所が微妙(新市庁舎近くですが)であるのでこの戦略は分かるのですが、いつの日か飲み放題ではなくアラカルトメニューで勝負されることを楽しみに待っております。
