一年で最も陽が長い夏至、毎年この頃になると、懐かしい欧州の地を思い出す。
今日は生憎雨模様、お祝いごとで上京、その前にこちらで少し腹ごしらえ。
麻布十番にある更科蕎麦屋の支店がここにもあるので、暖簾を潜って入ってみることに。
お願いしたのは、名物の御前そば（1020円）と太兵衛ざる（1020円）、こちらは後払いのシステム。
御前そばは一番粉だけを使った透き通るような白い蕎麦。極細の機械打ち、香りは弱くコシは弱めで上品でまるでそうめんのよう。
太兵衛ざるは、二八、ホシは無く、細切り機械打ち、のど越し良く仕上がっている。
薬味はねぎと山葵、山葵はねりもの、面白いのは蕎麦つゆに辛いものと甘いものの二つが出て来る、これがこちらの特徴。
甘い方は口あたりが柔らかく、上品な甘味があって、更科そばに合いそう。辛い方は返しの主張もしっかりあって濃厚、こちらは太兵衛ざるをサッと浸けて、薮のように頂く。
真っ白な更科御前蕎麦も二八も、どちらも美味しく頂いた、ご馳走さま！
