すごい量のガパオライスでした。量がものすごく多いので二人でシェアしてもいいぐらい。
味は美味しいけど、タイバジルの香りもしないし、辛くもないジャパナイズされた味です。次に行ったら別のメニューを試してみたいです。

ガパオ、パッタイ、トムヤムクンなどのタイ料理の定番メニューの写真が店内に貼られている。それらを横目に、カオソーイを注文。
タイカレーとトムヤムをいいとこ取りしたようなスープ、スープの中の柔らか麺とその上に載っているパリパリ揚げ麺の食感のコントラスト、パクチーと生玉ねぎのアクセント、この丼には驚きが詰まっている。
柔らか麺は、それだけで食べると、茹ですぎ伸び気味に感じる。なのに、パリパリ揚げ麺を散らして絡めて食べると、なぜか気にならない。不思議だ。
生玉ねぎは水にさらしてもいなそうなほど辛い。生玉ねぎにスープを吸わせるために、箸でほぐして、しばらく放置。鶏肉や高菜（？）などの具は、このスープに合っていて、美味しい。
麺を平らげた頃に、ようやく生玉ねぎがスープを吸って美味しくなってきた。このスープにライスを入れて食べたいと思うのは、日本人だからなのだろうか。このスープは、忘れられない罪な味だ。
