浜スタで野球観戦の前に腹ごしらえ。ベイスターズ通りを歩いて立ち寄ったのはこちら。前はよく通るし、存在は知っていたけど入るのは初めて。現地到着は17:10頃だったが、先客１名。壮年男子スタッフより店奥の二人がけテーブル席へ案内されて着席。改めてメニューを見て、オマール海老の横濱ホワイトカリー(¥1,200)を注文。店内はショットバー風。昔はそういう店だったのかな？スタッフは厨房内の男子と２名体制。
10分かからないくらいで、レンチンの音がしたしばらく後に配膳。白いというか薄い茶色。中央に見えているのがおそらくオマール海老の素揚げか焼いた小振りの切り身。小海老のフリットやマッシュルームも見える。食べてみると、小エビはサクサク。ルーにも、何かわからないが少しサクサクする顆粒状のものが入っていて、食感が楽しい。味自体はなんというか普通に美味しいが、エビやカレーぽっさは薄い。イメージだが、東欧料理にありそう。あとはやや急ぎつつ一気に完食。
カレーの多様性と、その定義の曖昧さをを考えさせる一杯。ごちそうさまでした。
