関内駅から徒歩4,5分の場所にある、とんかつ檍へ。
平日昼の時間帯、外に1人の待ちで10分ほど待って店内へ。檍には何度か行ったことがあるので、今まで食べたことが無いメニューをと思い、檍の賄い定食(1500円)を注文しました。
檍の賄い定食とは、メンチカツでした。ゴロッとゲンコツ型のメンチカツが2つ。口に含むと肉汁がジュワッと滲み出てくる、実にジューシーなメンチカツです。
とんかつと同様、岩塩につけて食べるとメンチカツといえど肉の旨味がダイレクトに味わえます。檍はとん汁が旨いのも嬉しいです。
