横濱のクラシックホテル・ニューグランド。
この歴史あるホテルでの滞在は、素敵な思い出の一頁だ。
そのホテル本館の一階にあるレストラン。
店の名前の通り、中庭の風景を見ながら料理が楽しめる。
今回は、素敵な友人の誕生日祝いに訪問。
昼の「パスタ・ランチコース」3,751円税込を予約し、昼過ぎ頃着席。
内容は前菜、パスタ、デザート、珈琲のシンプルなコースだ。
選択のパスタは「ペペロンチーニ」、「ナポリタン」等の定番の他、「本日のパスタ」がある。
注文したのは「本日のパスタ」のタリアッテレのトマトクリームソース、友人は「ナポリタン」。
前菜はワカサギを揚げた南蛮漬けのような料理。
揚げたてでとても香ばしく、辛味がアクセントだ。
魚が少々苦手の友人も美味しそうに口にする。
肉の旨味が絡む濃厚なクリームソースのタリアッテレ。
新鮮なトマトの爽やかな酸味のナポリタン。
重厚に奏でる味の協演にしばし陶酔。
カフェラテを飲み、バナナとチョコレート風味のケーキを頂く。
素材の美味しさを感じさせる甘美な味わいに舌は喜ぶ。
ここの料理の味は格別だと思った。
まさしく至福の一時で、幸せな気分で店を出た。
港から吹く早春の風に花の香りを感じた。
