元町周辺を散策しております。娘と昼ごはんを食べることとなり、何か良い店はないかとリセンヌ通りを歩いていると看板を発見。看板に導かれ小路のほうへと足を運びます。
ピッツァとジェラートとは粋な取り合わせのお店に吸い込まれるように入ります。
席に案内され、座ろうとすると何やら背中に熱風が。それもそのはず、わたくしの後ろにはカウンター越しの調理場、そして、ピッツァの焼き窯が赤々と口を開けております。椅子に腰掛けると熱は感じられることなく、メニューに集中できます。ランチタイムにはピッツァ、パスタを頼むとジェラートがサービスで付いてくるとのことです。お勧めメニューから「菜の花とサルシッチャのピッツァ」、通常メニューから「フレッシュトマトとバジルのパスタ（ポモドーロかな？）」を、シェアする旨を伝えて注文します。
まずは、ピッツァが運ばれてきます。4分の1にカットされています。それをさらに2分の1にして、8分の1とし、くるりと丸めるのが基本の食べ方だそうです。
モッツァレラチーズ、菜の花の苦味、サルシッチャに肉汁の旨みが一体となり、これは美味しい。ドゥの薄さと具の量も調和しております。何かを足しても、何かが足りなくても、成立しないバランス。今まで食べたピッツァの中でも傑作の部類に入ります。
パスタは予め、それぞれシェアされた形で運ばれてきます。トマトソースとバジルのシンプルなスパゲッティです。トマトソースの酸味が際立っていますが、その分、麺の甘み、旨みを強調します。漫画『美味しんぼ』で登場した「日本人好みのスパゲッティ」、海原雄山が提唱したパスタはこんな感じかなーなどと妄想しながら食べるとあっという間の完食。シンプルでありながら奥が深い味だーなどと分かったふうな言葉を発したい美味しさでした。
