A weekday in mid-October. For lunch, I went to Asian Bistro Dai in Aobadai, Yokohama. This Asian Bistro is located at the Aobadai station rotary, go straight towards Seijo Ishii, and turn right at the Enokigaoka intersection. It's a short walk from the station. Occasionally, when I pass in front of the store, I often see local housewives happily having lunch. I feel like it's quite crowded on Saturdays and Sundays, but on this day I arrived at the store just after 1pm. I went in because it was empty, probably because it was a weekday. When I sat down at the counter, the man behind the counter recommended various lunch menu items. He's a friendly guy. So, I ordered the special lunch Gapao & Green Curry (1400 yen). Then, I was asked to choose a drink, so I chose iced oolong tea. Then, she said, ``Please choose an after-meal drink.'' Apparently, drinks are served before and after meals. Usually it's coffee, but today I tried iced lemongrass jasmine tea. I thought the iced oolong tea came out right away, and right after that, the salad came out. Salad with basil dressing. And Gapao & green curry arrived in about 5 minutes. Gapao has a strong Ethnic Cuisine feel and is delicious. The soft-boiled eggs are also perfectly melty. It has a sweet and spicy flavor, so I enjoyed it while mixing it with white rice. Although the green curry has an Asian taste, it is well adjusted to Japanese tastes and is very delicious. Although it was creamy, the spiciness gradually increased as I ate it, so I added a soft-boiled egg and rice to make it a little milder. I feel like it's been a while since I had a delicious green curry. After the meal, I had iced lemongrass jasmine tea to complete the meal. I wasn't able to relax much because I was in between work, but I think housewives who like to have a good time chatting would be very happy to have a drink before or after a meal. The gapao and green curry were both very delicious. It's nice to be able to enjoy an Asian lunch so easily. The customer service was very pleasant, and the friendly guy even went outside the store to see me off. I would like to try the Hainanese chicken rice next time. Thank you for the meal.
