田園都市線青葉台駅直結、東急スクエア内のとんかつ店。休日12時の訪問で店内はまだ半分の入りというところ。食後もこの店は並んでいませんでした…まあ、食べたらそれも分かるかも。
初めてでしたのでこの店のスタンダードと言えるロースかつ「大厚ロースとんかつ定食」（250g)1,680円をオーダー。この店は厚切りが売りのようで、揚げ時間がかかり結構待ちました。食べてみると…写真のようにロースなのに脂身がほぼ無く、火を通し過ぎなのかパサつく感じ。テーブルに置かれているオリジナルソースも甘口・辛口とも微妙な味…特に甘口は林檎のすりおろしが多く入っているのは良いがスパイスの配合がなんとも珍妙で全然肉と合ってない。これならブルドックとんかつソースでも置いておいてくれた方が良いなあ。。。辛口はウスターソースのような液体サラサラソースで、パサつく肉との相性がイマイチ。
ごはん、豚汁、キャベツが今もお代わり自由なのは良いと思いますが、かつ、ソースとも自分の好みではないので2回目は無いかなと思いました…やや残念なランチだった。
