２０１７年７月中旬。
お盆の日曜日。鶴見の総持寺へ高校時代の同級生の墓参り。６１歳で亡くなって３年目。正直言って、拙宅からは遠いが、春秋のお彼岸とお盆には、墓掃除を兼ねてお参りに来ている。ちょうど高校野球の予選の時期。野球好きの彼と神宮球場へ母校の予選を見に行ったことを思い出す。総持寺は、広い。総持寺に着いてから友人のお墓まで行くのが一苦労。墓参りを終えて鶴見駅への途中、一人ランチ。いつも利用するレストランが日曜日で休みなので、こちらを初訪問。ちょうど昼時とあって、ほぼ満席。カウンター席で６８０円の「極王炒飯」をいただいた。スープ付。なかなか美味しいが、炒飯もスープも私には若干、塩気が強く感じた。
