以前この場所には、由寿里庵という蕎麦屋さんがあったが、閉店後の2019年1月にオープンしたのが「はなとみ」だ。テーブル席の他に小上がりがあるというのは蕎麦屋さんのときの面影が残っている。
同じ敷地内にA-coopのお客様駐車場があり、お店に駐車券を持っていくと、3時間まで無料になる。
基本のメニューは醤油「端麗醤油らーめん」、塩「汐そば一丁目」、味噌「味噌ラーメン」の3種類で、これに加えて夏はつけ蕎麦、冬も別メニュー（2022年秋冬は大人の辛口ブラック）が加わる。また、「お子様ラーメン」、「こどものまぜそば」というお子様向けのメニューもあり、家族連れにも人気だ。
更に、ほぼ毎月限定ラーメンがある。「端麗醤油らーめん」は国産生がらをベースでどんぶりのふちに「柚子胡椒」添えられるが、twitterによると、これは「ゆず」の聖地である磯子区にお店を構えているからで、「塩そば」ではなく「汐そば」なのはお店の住所が汐見台一丁目だからのようだ。
日曜日の13時過ぎに訪問した。ご主人が厨房を担当し、奥様が表で注文、配膳、精算を一人でこなしている。2022年11月の限定は「肉のはなとみ（1,200円）」というチャーシューに覆われたラーメンだった。ネーミングは「肉のハナマサ」風で、ルックスは喜多方ラーメン坂内風だが、かなり太目のメンマの触感がよい。食べ進めて少し単調かなと思ったところで卓上にあるフライドオニオンと胡椒で味変して満足。
