鎌倉街道の公田交差点から少し横浜よりに進んだ右手にあるステーキ中心のファミレス。
すぐ近くに同じ業態の「ステーキのけん」があったり、なかなかお互いにガチンコな出店のようだ。
いずれも一時期は大変混んでいたのだが、このところ近くを通るとそれほどでもない様子で、この度お試しに行ってみた。
休日の夜7時くらいと多分ピークタイムと思われるが、駐車場は7割くらいの埋まり具合。ファミレスなので店内に待ち列スペースがあるのだが、10分くらいで案内される。まぁこんなものか。
メニューを見て、ステーキ系の料理を2-3種ほど人数分オーダー。サラダバーやスープ、パン、ライス、それとカレーが食べ放題とのこと。
料理が出てくるまでの待ち時間でサラダを食い、肉を食べ終えたところでカレーを流し込む、という想定か…まったく高校生でもあるまいし…と思っていたけれど、気づいてみればそのパターンをついつい実行していた。(マーケティングおそるべし。)
さてメインのステーキ肉ですが、安いメニューはそれなりのお味のお肉。濃い味のソースをどっさりつけて食べてしまえという様相(当たり前か)。値段的に中程のメニューなら、まぁ普通のアメリカンなステーキな感じなので、あまり安さにひかれすぎないほうが良いようだ。
