鎌倉駅西口から1km弱。住宅街の一角にある老舗。(昭和46年開業)
平日の14:45来訪、先客2組、後客4組さほど混んでおらずでした。
食べログでは平日休みですが、2022年は4月は水・木・土の営業。2022年のGW(4/27-5/7)はお休みするそうです。
奈良県は吉野の井上天極堂の葛、さらに良質な葛の根から取るでんぷんだけを贅沢に使い、注文を受けてから作るスタイルです。
さて配膳。こだわりの器は、蓋を開けると黒蜜が、さらに開けると氷水に浸かったくずきりがお目見え。器から聞こえる氷の音が清涼感もあって良いですね。
さて、つけ麺の如く慣れた手つきでいただきます。
黒蜜が濃厚で粘土もあって甘い〜この甘さ濃厚がシャッキリします。
肝心の葛切りは、透き通っていてすごく綺麗。
氷で冷えた水に浸かり冷えてきて美味しい〜
噛めばモチっとした食感もあり、喉越しも病みつきになりますね。
古くは鎌倉時代から食されてきた葛に昔の人たちの涼を楽しむ工夫があったのではと思いながらいただきました。
