JR辻堂駅の北側は現在大変貌を遂げようとしています。関東特殊鋼の広大なと跡地にShonan CX（ショーナン・シークロス）いう商業施設や病院も含めた新しいビッグ・プロジェクトが進行しているのです。
湘南にはこのような広大な土地が他に無いので、これが完成すれば湘南の人と金の流れが大変化するとも言われています。併せて辻堂駅も改築されて悲願の快速の停車する駅になるとも言われています。
一方、辻堂駅の南側は昔ながらの商店街が残り普通の郊外の駅周辺のような庶民的な風景の中に飲食店が点在しています。私の通っている割烹や寿司の名店も含めて、それなりに店はあるのですが、どうも味への拘りの店があまりありません。
少し洒落た店もありますが、多くはカウンターに地元の常連客が陣取ってタバコを吸いながら長居しているので入るのをためらってしまいます。まあ飲食店には常連が必要なのは解ってはいますがタバコを止めてほしいとも言い辛いものです。
その中ではこの店は客層には恵まれていると思えます。それはビルの4階にあり、生簀もあったりして海鮮に拘る店なので地元のオヤジ達には敷居が高いのでしょう。
きちんとした料理屋風の店構えで入って右側にはカウンター、左には座敷（掘りごたつ）があり法事後の食事にも対応可能でかなり収容能力があります。
すでに何度も訪問していますが今回は鰯のお造り、カマスの焼物、〆の干瓢巻を頂きました。酒は高清水、〆張鶴、八海山の順に。
カマスは大きめのものでしっかりと焼いてありますので頭も含めて骨以外の部分をしっかりと頂きました。鰯は脂がこってりとしてふくよかです。この店はやはり海鮮の食材には拘っているようです。
以前、ハタの兜焼を食べて大変美味しかったことで気に入ってしまいました。店の料理人などスタッフは気持ちの良い方々ばかりで居心地は大変良いと感じます。
関東特殊鋼が去りこの辺りの飲食店は一時的に影響を受けましたが、この店は食材の目利き、調理、接客と魅力的な要素を備えているのでShonan CX完成後には更に人気が高まるでしょう。
