茅ヶ崎美術館を出て海岸まで歩いて茅ヶ崎海岸の砂浜をサザンビーチまでのんびりと散歩。
サザンCのモニュメントでお決まりの記念撮影すると、良い感じにお腹が空いて来たので、近くのレストランを食べログ検索すると、国道134号を渡ったところにハワイアンレストランがあるので、早速行ってみました。
一階は駐車場とキッズコーナー付きのお子様連れ向きのフロアで、一般客は2階のテーブル席に案内されました。
陽の光が刺しこんで明るいフロアには、ワイルドな感じの木製テーブルが並んでいる。
メニューはロコモコやポキボウルといったハワイ料理の定番と、ハンバーガーにステーキ、カレーと豊富です。
「海老、帆立、スズキのルアウ」という初めて見るメニューが美味しそうなので、それをオーダー。
「バナナの葉で包んだ蒸し上げるので、時間がかかりますがいいですか？」との事なので、ハワイアンビールを飲みながら待つ事25分ほどで出来上がり。
見た目はオムライスの卵焼きの代わりにバナナで包んだような紡錘形で葉の間から中身が少し覗いている。
バナナの葉を外すと、ふわっと湯気が立ち上り、お米の中に魚介類と野菜を粗微塵切りして混ぜた炒飯みたいな料理が現れた。
味はクリームベースのソースでココナッツミルクも入っているのか、ちょっと甘いが結構美味しい。
お腹が空いていたので、一気喰いで完食しました。
連れが食べた黒毛和牛のオリジナルロコモコも美味しかったそうです。
フロア係のスタッフは、女性も男性も適度にフランクできちんとしたサービスで感じが良い。
