3月末の日本酒の会（茅ヶ崎）は燗酒で牡蠣を楽しむ趣向。すでに早春とは言えない時期だが、花冷えの中まだ燗酒が恋しい。それなら牡蠣フライや牡蠣鍋が合うだろうと幹事が粋な計らいをしてくれた。
会場は、茅ヶ崎駅北口に近く。エメロード商店街から少し奥まったあたり。北海道出身のご主人が1970年に開業した北海道料理の店。北海道や全国からの直送の旬の食材を。お手頃価格で楽しませてくれる。
古い店なので上がりの座敷を使用。海外生活の長い私には辛いが。しかし、というかやはり座敷用の小椅子が用意されている。接客も 家族経営の親しみやすい雰囲気で心が馴染む。お得なランチもあり地元ではファンの多い店だ。
今回の酒は秋田の超個性派 熟成の銘酒「田从」。たびと、と読む。40年前にいち早く山廃に取り組んで鳥海山や奥羽山脈の伏流水である豊富な湧水を仕込み水に使用。
爽やかで快い酸味。そしてはりのある旨みを芯にすえたしっかりとした味わいが特徴。
そしてなんと言ってもお燗をすると酒の味わいが増す。今回は、最初の刺身は新政で頂いた。しかし、カレーグラタン、牡蠣フライ、牡蠣鍋と一気に田从（燗酒）のオンパレード。行きつく間もないほど攻めてくる。
名残の牡蠣だが、こちらの牡蠣フライは2つを包んでいるのでジューシー。衣もサクサク。王道だ。牡蠣鍋もトロっとした牡蠣からの旨みがすべてを引き立てる。これで燗酒がいっそう味わい深くなった。
今回はまさに盛況で、すっかり堪能した春の夜だった。さあ、夜桜見物に出かけよう。
